Naalala ko lang Morbid Angel bigla dahil sa pinsan ko. Nasa Pinas kasi ngayon at sa min nag stay and he is a Morbid Angel fanatic. He could talk about Morbid Angel for hours and we would have Morbid Angel versus Immolation debates and we would always agree to disagree in the end, hahaha! He called me and asked me to get him anything Morbid Angel here in SG. Particularly bootleg shit. hahaha!
"Altars Of Madness" is mandatory for me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing on that record. I thought that my player was playing my tape backwards! It was fucking insane.
I actually like all the releases (That I have heard) and I get to have favorite songs from each record, but I have yet to hear "Gateways To Annihilation" and "Heretic." Are they any good?
"Rapture" is my favorite Morbid Angel song.

altars of madness will always be my top morbid angel album today if you ask me tomorrow i will probably say blessed are the sick hehehehe.
regarding heretic and gateways they still are good records in my opinion. The much anticipated next album of morbid that obviously starts with the letter "I" with david vincent again on vox and destructhor(former guitarist of zyklon) i think would be sick .

For me, Altars of Madness! Extremely raw death metal shit!

Same with most people, Altars of madness has to be my fav MA record. Every song is well crafted and memorable. Though I'm looking forward on hearing Abominations Of Desolation, most people I know prefer that to any MA albums.

I like the riffs most. Be it slow or fast Azagthoth's riffs are heavy as fuck. And his solos are fucking aggressive. It's got that death metal attack. Unlike most guitarists that do solos in death metal nowadays. They play it like they are in Dream Theater. So sterile.

I was telling him that David will have an asthma attack if he does "Bil Ur-Sag" or anything off "F" just to piss him off, hahaha! As for me, I like the both vocalists equally.

This is the best Morbid Angel interview. Interviewer: "What is your job? David Vincent: "Morbid Angel" Interviewer: "Only" David Vincent: "Yeah" Interviewer: "You went to school to do that?" David Vincent: "Yeah" David Vincent: "I've spent four years in university for Morbid Angel" Interviewer: "What section?" David Vincent:"Huh?" Interviewer: "What speciality?" David Vincent: "Mathematics" Interviewer: "Great."

Though I'm looking forward on hearing Abominations Of Desolation, most people I know prefer that to any MA albums. AOD is basically a rawer (if you can believe that) version of AOM. Some songs on AOD that appeared on AOM have some slight difference. It's really interesting to hear bot albums but i prefer AOM, it's atmosphere is unspeakable to say the least. Kudos to dave rotten for trading me the AOD dub tape hehehe. Unfortunately it's almost unplayable now.

I actually like all the releases (That I have heard) and I get to have favorite songs from each record, but I have yet to hear "Gateways To Annihilation" and "Heretic." Are they any good? "Rapture" is my favorite Morbid Angel song. Like most people who've already posted, I also consider AOM as my most favorite Morbid Angel album. However, "Covenant" is a strong 2nd most favorite album of mine from MA. It has my most fave MA song, "Pain Divine". I like the dry production of Fleming Rasmussen. Gateways is a good, slow and sludgy Morbid Angel album. Heretic could've been a better album if they cut out all that unnecessary filler they crammed into the damn thing. np: Morbid Angel - Lord of All Fevers and Plague

"Blessed are the Sick" for me. I like the whole "death metal/classical" thing going on in that record. Trey's influence, I reckon..

Formulas Fatal to the Flesh is also an excellent album. You can also hear Trey Azagthoth howls on that album.

Trey weirded me out when he talks about the Kabbalah or the Ancient Ones with his interviews for this album. Particularly the one I read from Metal Maniacs then.

Speaking of Abominations of Desolations, does anyone know what the old members who played on that album are doing nowadays? Last thing I heard was that Mike Browning reformed Nocturnus for a few shows or so.
