haha sticky na pala to, Just remember na hinde ko lang thread to, share you experiences/reviews den sa thread na ito. sheeet!Master!Master!Master!kung andun ako hahalikan ko paa ni Paul Speckman! lol on Willow Wisp, i saw some of their ads on Metal Maniacs way back, medyo bata pa sila don, mahahalata mo ren kasi nagpapahaba pa ng buhok ung ibang members, pina stretch pa yata, heheh! sobra ang Nifelheim ha,,kinakalawang na ang mga pako! heehee, gusto ko ung gas mask sa Morbosidad.. how about Manticore man?were they any good?

My friend bought me a ticket for the Metallica Concert tomorrow, I dunno how much he spent but Im sure Id rather have the money to buy me some other stuff. lol. Hopefully it will be good, I'm not expecting much and I dont know any of their new songs beside "the day that never comes". I'll post about the experience if I have time after the gig.

Yes, do a similar review please and post some pics. I was hoping Metallica would play these shores again. But when I heard news that they cancelled their Australian tour because it would not be financially wise for them to do the shows because of the global economic recession, I've lost hope. Kung Australia nga tinanggihan nila, Pinas pa kaya?

Ok so here's what happened on the concert. Overall I would say that it was a GREAT experience. I gotta be honest that I underestimated the band, the sound was monstrous and the musicianship was superb. And they even gave us fans a treat, what’s better than hearing classics from KILL EM ALL? Read on gwapito…. First, I am sick as hell and coughing my lungs out while going to my friends house. The killer freeway traffic wasn’t helping too, three guys on one car stuck on a 2 hour traffic on a freezing cold night isn’t the most comfortable moment of my life. Good thing we have those 80’s hair metal/pop music playing on our background, from Poison, Ratt to Blondie hahaha!, I’m serious, it’s like heavy metal parking lot all over again. Lol. Moving on, we finally arrived at the venue, it’s a new arena here in Ontario, California. The place is HUGE and the line was longer than ultramans’ penis. The place was SOLD OUT after hours of release, the stadium was full with 10, 500 attendees !!!!!!!!!!, that’s a lot of people. So we finally got in and since we were an hour late we missed the first band that played which was THE SWORD, I never really cared for them so I’m good. Oh did I mention that there’s a line on the mens bathroom? And guess how much a large cup of beer cost? $8 !!!! even a small pack of popcorn is $5, so I just sat there sitting comfortably chewing my Gum! Hahaha. While we’re in line LAMB OF GOD started playing, They were good “entertainers” but like THE SWORD, I could care less about their music. After minutes of waiting for soundcheck and Lars suckin some guys cock to get some more money like a jew, the show finally started !! They played A LOT of classics so it was well worth it for me eventhough I’m almost died coughing the shit out of myself. The sound was SUPERB, you can hear every note they are playing and they also have some “effects”, they have a fuckin LASER SHOW while playing, I almost thought I was watching coldplay, hahaha, and there’s some PYROS too !!! I remember during the opening of “one” (you know those bullet/war effect they used on the album) everyone was stoked seeing mushroom forming pyros in the middle of the stage, I can even feel the heat eventhough I was standing quite a distance from the stage. There’s also some Boob flashers too, so it was good. Hahaha. Here’s some pics: Not my hand Hoodie was $80 and a baseball shirt costs $45 img152.imageshack.us/img152/8536/17metallica13ddpmahx6.jpg [/img] And yes, like most people who have their lyrics memorized, I sang along with most of the classics they played, except ENTER SANDMAN, I hate that song with a passion. Here’s the set list: (Including new and old songs)
That Was Just Your Life The End of the Line Ride The Lightning For Whom The Bell Tolls One Broken, Beat & Scarred Cyanide Sad But True Welcome Home (Sanitarium) All Nightmare Long Kirk Solo #1 The Day That Never Comes Master Of Puppets Blackened Kirk Solo #2 Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman Stone Cold Crazy Whiplash Seek and DestroyI heard they rarely play Stone Cold Crazy, Seek and destroy and Whiplash, so It's a treat for us indeed. So there you go kapatid, by the way, I don’t know if you guys are aware of this but metallica is now bootlegging themselves on every concert and sell that recording on fans. Hahah! What a great way to earn some extra cash. The ticket overall price (tax, shipping + other bullshit) was more than $100 ( so I’m thankful that I have friend who is kind enough to hook me up with one) and the cheapest shirt they were selling was $32, $45 for the baseball style shirt and $80 for the hoodie. Imagine how much they earned that night after getting a sold out 10,500 capacity stadium? Yup, It’s truly “Sad but True” (badump-bump) I have pics on my cellphone but I’d rather post the better ones from the net. I also have the recordings from that night on MP3!!!!!! The sound is perfect! but it’s over 100 MB , so if anyone has a premium rapid share account let me know so I can upload the WHOLE metallica set that evening if you guys are interested.
SEEK AND DESTROY !!!! - Vil EDIT:Here's some songs recorded from that night, sound board quality Master Of Puppetsrapidshare.com/files/173427398/met081212d2_13_Master_Of_Puppets.mp3.htmlWhiplashrapidshare.com/files/173428287/met081212d2_19_Whiplash.mp3.htmlSeek and Destroyrapidshare.com/files/173426418/met081212d2_20_Seek_And_Destroy.mp3.html

Thanks for the gig report Vil! The crowd photo shows three generations of their fans. People bootleg them so might as well do it themselves. Genius. That's a Gene Simmons move. Mwah!

Cynic, basa ko date pa ay "say-nik", yun pala "sinik", chugenk!. I just got home from the cynic gig, my ears are still ringing and I'm a bit pissed, I felt like I got ripped off...why? read on. The gig was held at House of Blues Anaheim branch which is located in the heart of downtown Disneyland(who wouldave thought?), The parking costs $6 per hour and $30 if youve been there for more than 4 or 5 hours, dun palang nag init na dugo ko sa mahal!. Then, while I'm on my way to the club, I cant find which venue cynic should be playing, all I saw was banners for the "Meshuggah" concert, so after asking around I found out that cynic is one of the opening bands for Meshuggah for the whole North American tour!. So while waiting for cynic, I just stood outside the club since I dont really care for the other opening act (The Faceless). While waiting, I decided to stop by the merch table, and man the prices were outrageous!, Metallica merch deja vou? one hoodie was $50 and a single shirt was $25! After seeing those prices I never bothered dropping by the bar to get something to drink. After waiting for almost 20 mins, the curtain finally unveiled and the hsow started! cynic played a bunch of songs from the new album and about 3 or 4 tracks from Focus. Their set was tight and clear, It's almost like listening to the album because you can hear every note from every instrument, Masvidals' robot/space age voice sounded exactly like the ones off the album. Now dont get me wrong, I like cynic a lot but I'm not the biggest cynic fan, I remember my first interaction with Focus was immediately ejecting the tape after hearing "veeeeiiiiil of mayaaa". I recognized most songs they played though. The new songs off the new album are great and they played it perfectly, there were some old cynic fans present at the gig and you can just see the excitement and the joy they presented while watching cynic play the old tunes (Veil of Maya, How could I , Celestial Voyage), the new songs they played were (The space for this, nunc fluens, integral birth + others I cant remember by the song title. It's a shame coz some Meshuggah fanboys are screaming "MESHUGGAAAAAH!" while cynic is playing, I even heard some kids claiming that they almost fell asleep while cynic was doing their thing. After the cynic set, most people next to me left, I was about to leave as well but decided not to since I payed $20 for my ticket, I stood in the back while meshuggah was playing, I'm not gonna go into details for their set since I dont know any of the songs they played, and If you havent heard of them then just think of compiling a bunch of break downs and mash it with mediocre riffs then you have a meshuggah song. Their tough guy/ jock type fan base are pretty interesting too. ...aaaaaannnndddddd. This will be a super short one,I was at the amebix reunion show last week! that was their very first show after 23 years and their very first USA gig ever so I'm glad that I was there. I unexpectedly met a couple of old friend from back then and it made the whole experience even better (well, minus the drunken scum crusties from oakland who trekked their way from the north just to leech on other peoples dough) And since its a punk show, the tour shirts, Vinyl LPs, CDs are all $10, what a bargain! Here's a video from the Amebix gig, I'm somewhere there, lol www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBjfbjRkHzsAmebix Tour shirts: Risen, No Gods No Masters, Arise ! Back: Tour dates I didnt really bother buying a shirt/hoodie for myself this cynic gig since it's very expensive and ....I'm short of dough, lol. (and I found a digital flyer for the cynic gig just now) ..... Myspace music hosted it. hahaha!

No problem doods!, I'm sure most of you guys are more deserving than I am to watch the cynic gig, I cant even recognize some of the songs they played. The atmoshphere was great as well, it's like watching a shoegaze band with all the fog and fancy lightings they did.
