I'm a huge, huge fan of Partridge & Moulding.
Wrapped In Grey - for the lyrics. it's like they're painting pictures with words. Statue Of Liberty - for the phrase: "in my fantasies I sail beneath your skirt" haha! what a perv! The Wheel And The Maypole - for an unbelievable "detour and return" hook. Church Of Women - The simple solo has the best fucking pure tube "the hot glass is crying" overdrive tone I've ever heard.

Is this the same band that did "Dear God"? I'm not even sure if that's the actual title of the song but I liked it because of the lyrics.

dude I fucking love this song...wanted to do a cover version of it for the longest time, but man its such a powerful song I don't think anybody can do it justice.
I'd like to think "The Jesus Disease" (the song) lyrics were inspired by this masterpiece.

Hell yeah man, its called sincerity. He's not trying to scare anybody, he's just telling it how it is, no bullshit.

Re: XTC covers Just don't mess up the tunes like that brit whatsisname did to "Making Plans For Nigel" and what Mandy Moore did to "Senses Working Overtime". Horrible.
