I like how Corgan writes. "Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness" is classic. "1979" makes me think of college life for some reason. Anyone know if this is still available locally in CD format? I only have the tape cause I'm KvLT, hahaha!

CD format yeah, pero tiempo-tiempo lang sa Tower madaling maubos ang stock basta SP. I had a chance to buy this package that had most of their old releases but I decide to buy Exorcist & Platoon instead when came back the next day it was gone.

Siamese.. and the album before that were staples during our weekly alcohol abuse back in the early 90s. although most of us were into death metal, my friends and i preferred the groovy bass rumblings of ze Pumpkins (along with AIC, STP, Soundgarden..) together with our Ginebra.

"Quiet", the 2nd track from Siamese Dream. When I first heard this song (after downing a couple of Pale Pilsens at a friend's b-day party) I thought I was listening to Obituary, the guitars almost had the same tone... until Billy Corgan sang.

Probably most of their sound comes from the Marshall JCM 800 amplifiers.

I never liked this band, never had any of their albums and no plan on getting any...but one thing I noticed, the vocals sounds like Dave Mustaine...

Siamese Dream hehe. classic shit.
nabasa ko dati sa isang online article big fans daw sila ng Sleep, Black Sabbath at My Bloody Valentine. sa lumang albums pinaghahalo pa nila stoner rock at shoegazer

Siamese Dream is one of my most favorite albums. Probably in my top five overall (metal albums included). Corgan is very much influenced by metal.

Can't forget their Fleetwod Mac cover of "Landslide" from their Pisces Iscariot compilation. A friend of mine who joined the U. S. Navy bestowed to me his Smashing Pumpkins discography of cassettes (up to "Machina/The Machines of God", it even included James Iha's solo album "Let It Come Down") and this is the one among the group I liked best.

Okay katawan nyan as seen on the 'Judith' video. Didn't get to hear the Zwan album, I liked the single they released pero disbanded na rin ata sila.
