I cant remember how many times i just sat in front of the speakers and played Nick Drake's Bryter Layter LP with a beer on hand and just escape reality.I remember vividly when i first encountered Drake's music, its when i was trying to learn a Joni Mitchell song and singing it at home when my uncle heard it from a afar and approached me and said that i sounded more like a drunk Nick drake clone, the rest was history. He released 3 awesome albums never got the recognition he deserved, died a young man through an overdose sad story indeed. For the people interested: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4Va1xJUjC0

I first heard Nick Drake referenced in a review of an Opeth album. Turns out, Mikael Akerfeldt is greatly influenced by his music.
I just downloaded several tracks and his music is a perfect soundtrack to spending your time sulking on gray, gloomy day.
