Judging from the myspace track it sounds promising although their are some parts of the song that sounds a bit draggy . I hope they release this on wax a pic disc to be exact, the cover artwork looks sick by the way.

I hope they release this on wax a pic disc to be exact, the cover artwork looks sick by the way. The entire album was available for streaming on their MySpace, but I only listened to three songs to not defeat the purpose of ordering the CD, and to still have something to look forward to, for me at least, and I liked it, but I thought the guitars sound thin, but you can't really depend on MySpace players. I ordered the "Blood Red" version. I wanted to get the "Blood Pack" but worldwide shipping of it from Nuclear Blast Germany was fucking expensive and it costs more than the item. It's available on a two colored vinyl, but I do hope, it gets a picture disc treatment. This is one good thing about signing with a big label like Nuclear Blast, the albums get sick packaging. In the age of the Internet and downloading, they do something to make you want to buy the actual material. I hope the next Immolation release has a "Hell Pack", the case flames up when you touch it, hahaha! I like the cover artwork of Jon Zig as well. In fact, it's the only artwork of Zig that I liked in years. Did you see his artwork for Divine Pustulence? Que horror! The "Blood Oath" cover artwork makes me think Testament's "Souls Of Black" cause of the hooded characters. Hehehe...

Hell pack hehehe nice there should be a warning sign "FRAGILE MAY SEND YOU TO HELL". Yup the guitars are thin even though they have two guitar players well that's on my PC's speakers sadly.

Or the CD includes a "Hell Coupon" and you could redeem your prize directly from Satan as soon as you go to hell. Talk about speakers. I haven't listened to music coming out of real speakers since I moved here. Hahaha! I've been blasting shit out only on earphones since my wife hates my music.

I never had a mark for Suffocation, even though I own the first two albums on original cassette. I downloaded this new album out of curiosity, and there's some charm with the new approach on the production. Granted, it was still recorded in their home using the same stupid engineer, but they had it mixed ELSEWHERE and thus the improved, albeit flat, sound. I have always unequivocally HATED the production on the last three albums (not to mention the other NY bands that recorded in the same-ass studio like Pyrexia or that poser hip hop band, Internal Bleeding) so this is definitely a marked improvement. This is, in my cult opinion, the best Suffocation album in a long, long, loooooooong (ala Bayfresh commercial) time. The best since the "Human Waste" EP - and that says a lot! And yes, galit na galit na GALIT akoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I just finished listening to "Blood Oath" and it's boring as fuck. "Jesus Wept" and fell three times and so did Suffocation since the reunion. The re-recording of "Marital Decimation" off "Breeding The Spawn" was sick though. I can't even believe that there are gang shouts on "Provoking The Disturbed" which was fucking gay.

Edit: except for the cover art ;D Yeah, I love the cover artwork too and the production, but the songs are impotent. The breakdowns and the trademark Suffo blasts are there but there is no intensity. The vocal patterns are like nursery rhymes too. What the fuck?

Anyways, Suffocation's releases have always been "copy and paste." Unfortunately, the last three records just doesn't kill it for me despite staying true to their roots which is the reason I remain a fucking die hard fan of theirs. "Demise Of The Clone" off "Souls To Deny" is the only song from the post reunion releases that kills for me. This fucker's what Suffocation is all about.

By the way, is it easy to buy red jewel cases back home? I couldn't find them here in Singapore. I accidentally stepped on my Blood Red CD and I cracked the case. The moment I realized I stepped on the CD I had a Chuck Norris like adrenaline and jumped away from it. lol.

It was too late though. My Chuck Norris emergency moves are wasted cause I weigh too much and cracked the motherfucker in a second. lol. Yeah, please do let me know if you see one.
