www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dLAsHpMiBc Easily one of the best artist that emerged in the early 90's.Songs like "Dream brother " " Last goodbye" "Lilac wine" showcases his multi octave voice and awesome song writing skills. Sadly he drowned in the mississipi river at the peak of his career.Whats really ironic is that he and his father(Tim buckley a famous folk singer in the 70's)suffered the same fate dying at a young age ad at the height of their career.

My most favorite track from him is his live rendition of his dad Tim Buckley's song 'Once I Was'. It's even better than the original. Though it's so simple and bare, the powerful emotions just flows in this song.
np: Jeff Buckley - Once I Was (live Tim Buckley cover)

I think Jeff Buckley made justice to that song ,he never meet his dad so i guess its a proper tribute.

I think I first heard of him while I was working in Baguio. The guys from Session Road asked if I could play his disc through the restaurants sound system. I'm not sure what album it was but the song "Everybody Here Wants You" got stuck to my head ever since. As my boss would say, its a perfect song for a stripper.
