Satanic Elvis ,anyone?
I rarely see people mention him here, I think he's a great vocalist/song writer. I always find myself listening to Danzig every now and then, The first 3 albums are my favorite (fourth one is good too, but the industrial hints didnt do it for me), from low end jazzy riffs to his awesome awesome ballads that I always end up singing along to.
Danzig era misfits is great as well, Walk among us and legacy of brutality are probably my favorite since Earth AD was too br00tal and less crowd chants that doesnt appeal to me. Fuck Michael Graves.

"Last Caress" is a favorite of mine and totally dig Metallica's version of it. I checked out the Misfits because of their image, particularly because of their trademark skull. When I finally got hold of a tape and heard Danzig's vocals for the first time, I was a bit disappointed (hehehe). I was expecting something else, and definitely not an Elvis impersonation. I did get to appreciate his vocalsc after repeated listens.
The latest record of local punk metal, Deceased have a strong Misfits influence. I mentioned and remembered Ray Decay because they always include a cover of "Last Caress" in their set as tribute to them.

The Misfits were one of the few punk bands I liked back in the day. Na-discover ko din sila dahil sa Metallica, Cliff Burton would be often seen wearing a fiend skull shirt.
As for Danzig, I only liked them up to their fourth album "4p".

When I was just starting listening to metal, Danzig was one of the bands I saw featured in magazines and I'd also see bands like Metallica and Megadeth wear their shirts. I automatically assumed they were thrash. When I heard "How the Gods Kill", I was slightly disappointed as I was expecting to hear thrash. I eventually found a liking to their music even though it wasn't thrash.

Like the others who posted, I got my first taste of Misfits via Metallica. Legacy of Brutality is the album I'm most familiar with.
As for Danzig, I liked the first 4 albums, especially How The Gods Kill.
