From Peaceville... For the first time in nearly 15 years, two vile new Autopsy tracks were recorded in September 2008, bringing together Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles, and Eric Cutler for another slice of death and decay. These tracks make up a special, extremely limited (only 1,000) 7” vinyl release, titled ‘Horrific Obsession’, to be available exclusively from www.peaceville.com on 26th January 2009, with pre-orders being taken from December. To celebrate 20 years of ‘Severed Survival’, Autopsy’s iconic debut album will be re-issued by Peaceville Records as a special two disc edition on February 23rd 2009. Everyone’s favourite San Franciscan sickos - an inspiration to an entire generation of death metal bands - have unearthed rare rehearsal and live material for a bonus disc, including demo versions of two songs "Mauled to Death" and "Human Genocide", which were intended for the original ‘Severed Survival’. Also featured in the package is a booklet with notes by the band themselves, detailing the history of Autopsy’s early years, with rare photos and images.

yeah I ordered the ep last week without even thinking if I have any dough left. haha. Did they "reform" for good though or just for the ep?
This "Legends" reunion phenomena is getting a little out of hand. First there's repulsion and terrorizer, then necrovore followed by Onslaught and carcass etc.. , Not that I'm against it, but we dont want a barrage of half-assed releases, I believe we have enough mediocre materials as we speak.

I have no idea. It's good that its only an EP. They are probably testing the sewers. I mean, they killed Autopsy because they could no longer write material that is worthy to be released under its name. Their musical integrity makes me confident that this EP will slay. I hope I recover fast from the holiday expenses in order to get this fucker.

I got the new Ep couple weeks ago, and I should say that it is very good, it would be great if they make a new album in vein of this ep, you wont hear any punkish hints from abcess at all. I was also listening to Fiend of blood tape before listening to the new Ep and it made me realize how shitty fiend of blood was once again, lol cover sucks tho. haha

Well, the filename looks okay it reads "Anatomia" and it has a tremendous display of "Mental Funeral"-stylings and flattery. But the file name also shows an extension, and if I can read them right, they go: "Don't take things seriously" and "A little sense of humor would help."
But in this Internet day and age, you never know LOL. I think I downloaded the Top Gun anthem and it reads "Joe Satriani" but Chad told me it was some other guitar player, so... yeah, maybe the tagging of files were wrong.
Anatomia still rules, though.

Chuck Norris would have buried us alive in Egypt if it hadn't been for our sense of humor. Please everyone, join us. *"Su noij, su noij, su noij, su noij, su noij, su noij..." *Slayer - "Hell Awaits" sample.

From NWN:
AUTOPSY “AWAKENED BY GORE” DOUBLE LP REGULAR EDITION ANTI-GOTH 152
Nuclear War Now’s tenth year of destruction continues with one of the most anticipated releases ever to carry the gunmen logo. At last Autopsy will receive the NWN! vinyl treatment with the release of “Awakened By Gore.” This vinyl reissue of Autopsy’s legendary demos will be essential for every worshiper of the Bay Areas kings of scum-drenched Death Metal. These demos capture the vile and despicable nature of the band in its most primitive incarnations. In addition to the demo recordings, this release also contains a bonus LP featuring one side of rare and unreleased rehearsal and live recordings while the other side is etched with artwork. Of course any Autopsy fan is by now also well aware that the band has been resurrected and is now in the process of writing and recording new material. Thus, this reissue of their earliest work also honors the nearly 25 years of mayhem and sickness for which Autopsy is responsible and the ongoing continuation of that carnage.
Wholesale is also available at a minimum of 10 copies. Wholesale orders will include two copies of the limited transparent green vinyl version (so you get 8 black and 2 green).
++++DIE HARD VERSION WILL BE COMING IN ON JULY 12TH++++ The Die Hard will be accompanied by a booklet of rare photos and gig flyers as well as a full-color back patch featuring the new cover artwork by Andrei Bouzikov created especially for this release. Even more impressive though is the deluxe “book style” LP jacket packaging designed expressly for this reissue. This is unquestionably one of the most elaborate NWN! releases and, as such, has been reserved for one of the most important bands to have ever emerged from the catacombs of the U.S. underground metal scene.

since the band has a release on NWN label and Joe Allen is now part of Autopsy, wouldn't be cool if they are included sa NWN Fest II... and with Von Goat part of fest lineup, a real reunion of VON might occur.
Yosuke's big middle finger to Veinen lol
