Fuck! I should be reading but procrastination is haunting me again! lol Anyway, List your favorite TRC band(s) and the reason why. Mine has to be GI and the Idiots. Fascinating world of Garbage is one of the FASTEST music ever created during that time, If ever na magkakaroon ako ng banda, either death metal/sludge or Punk in vein of GI lang ang pagpipilian ko, ganun ko sila kagusto, I'll be happy to be called a GI clone. lol. Raw, Political and fast as fuck is the best formula. (early)Phil. Violators , IOV , dead ends and WUDS (early) are close. We caaant get along... With our Music!!! cant get along with our songs, cant get along with our assholes, so we put our assholes in our songs!(By the way kung meron pa dyan mga wise na tao at natabi mga TRC tapes nila PM nyo ako, trade tayo. TRC not Recycled reissues, hehe)

Remember the Never Forget the Cause compilation tapes that Recto had so many years ago? Man those recordings sucked; it was recorded in this one studio where most of the punk bands during that era recorded. Same studio where Bad Omen recorded, methinks. Skrewheads, Laguna reprazent!

I got a kick with "Fascinating World Of Garbage." It was one of the first batch of tapes that I had. "Broken Lineage" is a fast motherfucker. As a favorite, that would be Urban Bandits - "Independence Day." "No Future Sa Pader" is the best local punk song ever written in my opinion. Ang future pala ay nasa Put3ska.

Have a bunch of TRC tapes tucked out here somewhere gathering dust.
My first introduction to hardcore was care of the Rescue Ladders and Human Barricades compilation. The band that had an immediate impression on me at the time was Urban Bandits and their song "News of the World". It was probably the first time I encountered music that was so angry which was a shock to my new wave-listening self back then.
I also remember GI and the Idiots' "Where You Going Boy?" and Urban Bandits' "Manila Girl" (the original version) being played on NU 107.
I got hold of a pirated CD copy of "Fascinating World of Garbage" from GI and the Idiots and I was pleasantly surprised how good the sound quality was. The CD copy of Rescue Ladders that I bought along with it unfortunately had sound quality worse than my original cassette tape.
I was able to download mp3s of a lot of the TRC releases sometime back.

I have PhilVio's "At Large!" and RDA's "Brave United in Trust" tapes (reissued ones at that. Yeah, I suck). "Violent Dispersal" is a killer song.
Pangks nat ded!

Have a bunch of TRC tapes tucked out here somewhere gathering dust. Man, you should put that to good use. I'll trade you my metal CD's to your dust gathering TRC tapes. Recto xerox / pentel pen writing ko lang natagpuan ang Pinoy punk date, my poser ass never got a hold of any TRC tapes ( I think I had one pero na trade ko ren ata?) yung isa di pa maganda pagkaka dub. hehe.

Just leaning to my left I can see IOV - Another Destructive Century. I'll look for the others. Meron ding iba na hiniram and hindi na binalik sa akin (Phils, Where Do We Go From Here comp).

I forgot the label but it was from Malaysia who released it. What a coincidence. I just received an e-mail from him about this, hahaha! If you are interested to get a copy of G.I. + The Idiots CD you may contact Gani at www.myspace.com/docgani

yep there were talks of a Singaporean ata or a Malaysian label wanting to put out most, if not all of TRC releases on cd's, but knowing the rep of Mr.Tommy T., I doubt this would happen, cguro pa-isa isa lang, like yung distro ng MYO na G.I discog cd, which was put out by Basement Records. Naka iskor rin ako nito kay doc gani.
TOP 5 TRC era bands for me: GI and the Idiots (Me altar to sa kwarto ko) R.D.A. - Olly- Punk Icon, nuff said I.O.V - Of course there has to be IO-Motherf*n-V! URBAN BANDITS - smart lyrics, all the right attitude, Mr Arnold Morales, my fave punk hero BETRAYED - all star cast, cohesive mix of Reggae,Ska and Hardcore Punk, way ahead of their time
