Since they are coming over to the motherland, we might as well talk about them. What can you say about them?

Quite new to this band, I first heard about them maybe 5 years ago? not too long, The thing that attracted me was their Beherit styled logo when they released their album through Season of the mist (which included one of my favorite bands) thus, leading me to this discovery. Good stuff for sure, just not exactly my cup of tea.

Sometimes the shirts says it all to me. I always see former vocalist, Hideki, wear Immolation shirts, and even if I haven't heard their music, I get to have an idea on what they sound like, and I get to have the feeling that I will end up liking their music. Like I said, it works sometimes, and for this case, it definitely did. I've read a lot about Defiled, but I never contacted them, until Don Decker included a copy of "Erupted Wrath" together with my Anal Blast merch. When I saw the CD, I was like, "Oh Defiled, the one from Japan with the Immolation shirt." lol I liked it, I didn't go insane about the the CD, but I liked it. It's like Immolation and old Cryptopsy to my ears. My last issue featured Japanese death metal bands. Defiled was supposed to be included, but unfortunately, I lost contact with Hideki, and later found out that he was no longer with the band. It's fucking killer that they are coming over to the Philippines. I hope that the turn out would be massive. I really wish I could see them together with my fellow Filipino metalheads.

First time I heard of Defiled it was through the Repulse Records Samplers that Dave Rotten used to send out for free either by acquiring a distribution list or by sending a dollar. It was also sent free with Sounds of Death Magazine, from what I remember. The track from what I recall sounded kinda like Deicide probably circa "Legion" albeit less complex. I may have downloaded three tracks off their 2003 album and although it was tight, technical and skillful, it was generally bleh IMO. Intestine Baalism all the way, baybeh!

i remember a few years ago, there was this thread in some old forums about listing down which band you think is "too heavy, or too extreme.. or way out there"
alot of people there posted Mortician, some posted obscure [to me] drum-machine noise/grind bands.
i said Defiled. LOL
at that time, the only thing ive heard from them was Ugliness Revealed. and i remember being somewhat confused with the arrangements. haha

ah yes the mighty Divination! I wonder if someone in Defeated Sanity is a Defiled fan. Ugliness Revealed had a song called Defeat Of Sanity. And on Psalms of the Moribund by DS, the first song is entitled Stoned Then Defiled!

I noticed that their singer (and fafa) Kenji is a kult person... I mean, on this little "press ID" I got, I looked at the pic and he was wearing a fucking CULT Corpse Molestation shirt (pre-Bestial Warlust, to those un-kult like me - HAH). And then on the Singapore date, he points at Alex's shirt (or was it his tit - compliments to Batdog for pointing that one out) which looks to me like an Order from Chaos shirt. And then he gets to wear a Profanatica shirt. Lesson of the day: this guy, in my opinion, is fuggin' METAL. Like all of us.

Seven years after their last collaboration, Season of Mist and DEFILED are joining forces again! The label is pleased to welcome back the Japanese death metallers in the fold. Irashaimasu! "Our long awaited new album, 'In Crisis' is finally at hand", band leader Yusuke Sumita comments. "Since our previous effort "Divination" (released on Season of Mist in 2003), SOM have been waiting for a new DEFILED album, so we are very proud to be back home on Season of Mist, the best label on this planet." "In Crisis", DEFILED's fourth full-length, has been scheduled for a January 17th, 2011 (January 25th in the US) release. Expect nothing but pure technical & brutal death metal!

Season of Mist is definitely the coolest 'extreme' metal label right now.
